DOJ New Streaming Video Series: Police Response to People with Disabilities
The Department of Justice has designed these videos for use in roll-call training. There is an introduction, and seven different segments, ranging from approximately 5 to 10 minutes in length, addressing law enforcement situations involving people who have mobility disabilities, mental illnesses, mental retardation, epilepsy or seizure disorders, speech disabilities, deafness or hearing impairments, and blindness or low vision.
There are dial-up or high-speed options, and the videos are available with captions and audio descriptions. Copies of the video can also be ordered from the Department.
