Advocacy
(links open in a new window)
Partners in Policymaking is a national advocacy model adapted to fit Alaska's unique needs and funded through the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority. It is designed to help Trust beneficiaries and their families become more involved in the democratic process through awareness and engagement. Two 8 week Advocacy Internship courses and one Advanced Advocacy Internship course is offered each year.
The project offers on-going technical assistance to interns and Beneficiary groups on effective strategies and techniques for moving agendas forward in the policymaking process.

Mission of I Vote, I Count Campaign:.jpg)
To empower Alaskans with disabilities and other Alaska Mental Health Trust beneficiaries to become active voters and part of the political process by eliminating voting barriers, promoting awareness of the voting process and helping people access their right to vote.
Voting is a basic civil right for Trust Beneficiaries, however, many in the beneficiary community are not registered or active voters. YOU can help support self-determination and involvement of beneficiary civil rights.
